Ocryl - Eye cleaner for dogs and cats

Ocryl - Properties

Ocryl is intended for washing the eye and the area around the eye. Because its pH is identical to that of cats' and dogs' tears, your pets will not have an adverse reaction to Ocryl. This also makes Ocryl easy to administer.

Ocryl - Indications for use

• To clean eyes and area around eyes daily.
• To remove the source of possible eye irritants and conjunctivitis (dust, plant matter, crusted eye discharge, etc.). 
• To clean the eye prior to applying a prescription cream or eye drops.
• To reduce the discolouring to hair around the eye caused by tears.  

Ocryl - Composition

• Banzalkonium chloride: 7 mg
• Methylene blue: 0.1 mg 
• Rose essence: 2,3 µl
• Excipient (boric acid and sodium borate): qsp 100 ml

Ocryl - Instructions for use

• Ocryl is intended for external use (around eye) for dogs, cats, horses, birds, rodents and reptiles.  
• It is to be used 2 to 3 times weekly, but can also be used daily as required (for very dirty eyes, or eyes that tear alot). 
• Ocryl can be administered directly into the eye: gently apply a few drops directly onto each eye and use a cotton ball or gauze compress to gently wipe away any residue.
• You can also soak a gauze compress or cotton ball with Ocryl and gently wipe around eyes. 

When there is discolouration of hair in the inside corner of eyes:

Some dogs or cats may have dark brown or black discolouration of the fur under the inside corner of their eyes (see photos provided). This discolouration is caused by your pet's tears. Ocryl can eliminate and prevent this discolouration. Proceed as follows:

• Removal process: Clean discolouored hair 1 to 2 times daily by gently rubbing the affected area using a cotton ball or gauze compress soaked in Ocryl. Continue until the discolouration begines to fade. 
• Maintenance process: Clean hair around eyes 1 to 2 times weekly by gently rubbing the affected area using a cotton ball or gauze compress soaked in Ocryl.
