Drontal - Puppy dewormer

Puppies that have not yet been weaned are rarely infested with tapeworms, but they are often exposed to roundworm, transmitted by nursing mothers or other puppies they come into contact with.

This is why we recommend deworming puppies with Drontal puppy dewormer every two weeks, up until 12 weeks of age. This tasty liquid formula is easy to feed to pups and makes Drontal puppy dewormer the perfect dewormer.

Drontal puppy dewormer - indications for use

Drontal puppy dewormer is indicated when treating for roundworm, particularly Toxocara canis, Ancylostoma, Ancylostoma caninum and Trichocephalus Trichuris vulpis.

Administering Drontal puppy dewormer

Drontal puppy dewormer is administered orally. Drontal puppy dewormer can be administered directly to the puppy or mixed with the puppy's food.

The dosage for Drontal puppy dewormer is 1 ml of solution/kilo live weight (the equivalent of 14.4 mg/kg of Pyrantel embonate and 15 mg/kg of Febantel).

Storing Drontal puppy dewormer

Do not store Drontal puppy dewormer at temperatures below 25°C. Do not refrigerate. Do not freeze. Drontal puppy dewormer can be used up to the expiry date indicated on the package. The expiry date starts with the letters "EXP” (expiration), followed by 6 digits: the first two digits represent the month and the last four digits represent the year. The product will remain stable for 10 weeks after it has been opened.

Do not use in pregnant or lactating dogs.
