Feliway Diffusers and Refills

Cats leave facial pheromones to familiarise themselves with their environment: that way, they recognise the places where they have been as friendly and peaceful places. Feliway is an olfactory lure that you can spray or diffuse in a room to sooth and reassure your cat. Feliway is also available as a spray: Feliway spray.

How to use - Feliway Diffuser

Feliway is used in cases of urine marking or scratching (which are signs of stress or unease), to make your cat feel secure in a new environment (new house, holiday, cage, basket, car). If there are markings in several rooms (covering an area greater than 70 m2), put another Feliway diffuser in the other marked room.

Feliway will allow your cat to return to normal behaviour or better deal with changes.

Instructions - Feliway Diffuser

Plug the Feliway diffuser into a wall outlet and leave it on until the liquid is gone. The cat may seem interested in the first few hours and might rub itself on it. Soothing signs will generally appear after the first or second week.

Feliway can be used alone or in association with any other medicine. It is very important to keep on using Feliway for a month after the behavioural disorders have disappeared (marking, anxiety, scratching...).

Urine marking or scratching

Plug in the Feliway diffuser in the room where there is urine marking. If it is in several rooms (over an area greater than 70 m²), put another Feliway diffuser in another marked room. In many cases, especially if there are several cats in the house, we recommend using Feliway Spray for 2 weeks. Apply 1 dose a day on the marked zones, as indicated on the page for Feliway Spray.

Loss of appetite or reduction of playtime and interactions

Plug in the Feliway Diffuser in the room where your cat goes most often. Feliway Diffuser is active over an area of 50 to 70 m² for a one-month period. If your house has two floors and your cat has access to both, we recommend installing another Feliway Diffuser on the second floor.

Precautions - Feliway Diffuser

Keep Feliway out of reach of children. Do not touch the Feliway device while it is in use or immediately after. The device's surfaces are very hot so that the active product will evaporate. These surfaces must not be touched when the device is plugged in. The electrical device must be used only with this specific liquid. Other substances may by toxic or flammable.

Note

48 or 50 ml? Some distributors will indicate 48 ml, while others will indicate 50 ml. These are the same bottles. The bottles have a total capacity of 50 ml and are filled to 48 ml by Feliway manufacturers.
