    Instructions - Frontline Spot-On Dog

Hold the Frontline Spot On pipette in an upright position and break off the cap at perforation. Maintaining your dog in a standing position, part the coat between the shoulder blades until you can see some skin. Place the tip of the Frontline Spot On pipette directly onto the skin and squeeze firmly a few times until the pipette is empty. Do this on one or two spots, depending on the dog's size, preferably between the shoulders or under the neck to avoid licking. We recommend using Frontline Spot On once a month all year round to avoid infestations.

    Contraindications - Frontline Spot-On Dog

Do not treat dogs younger than 8 weeks or weighing less than 2 kg with Frontline Spot-On. Do not use Frontline on rabbits as product could potentially be lethal.

Adverse reactions - Frontline Spot-On Dog

If your dog licked Frontline, it may hypersalivate briefly. In very rare cases, your dog may also develop a rash or inflammation at the point of application.

Precautions for use - Frontline Spot-On Dog

    • Do not bathe your pet two days prior to and two days after applying Frontline Spot-On. After that period, immersion in water will not affect the product's effectiveness against new infestations.
    • Avoid direct contact with the Frontline product. As for every treatment, hands should be thoroughly washed with soap and water after application. Do not touch your pet for a few hours after the application.
    • Do not smoke, eat or drink while using the product.
    • Do not touch pets that have just been treated and do not allow children to play with them until the application surface is dry. We recommend treating the animal in the evening rather than during the day, and not letting your pet sleep with your owner, especially with children.

In case of pregnancy or lactation:

Laboratory studies have not shown fipronil to have any teratogenic or embryotoxic effects (fipronil is the active ingredient in Frontline). As the skin can only absorb low quantities of the product, using it on gestating or lactating females is not contraindicated.

    Direct-Vet recommends:

In addition to the fleas on your dog, there may also be flea eggs, larvae and nymphs in your dog's environment. These can become adult fleas and reinfest your dog. Therefore, it is necessary to treat the environment with an appropriate product at the same time as your treat your pet, for example, Virbac's Indoor-X.
