Pestigon Combo for dogs - Indications for use:

Pestigon Combo is indicated to treat and prevent infestations of fleas, ticks and biting lice in dogs. Pestigon Combo works as follows:

• Effectively eliminates and prevents new infestations of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) for up to 8 weeks.
• Inhibits the development of flea eggs (ovicidal activity), their larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity), thereby preventing their development, and is effective for 8 weeks following application.
• Eliminates ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) for up to 4 weeks.
• Eliminates biting lice (Trichodectes canis).

Pestigon Combo for dogs can be combined with a flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) treatment.

Pestigon Combo for dogs - Administration and dosage:

• Dogs between 2 and 10 kg: per dog, one pipette of PESTIGON COMBO S 67 mg for small dogs (0.67 ml).
• Dogs between 10 and 20 kg: per dog, one pipette of PESTIGON COMBO M 134 mg for medium-sized dogs (1.34 ml).
• Dogs between 20 and 40 kg: per dog, one pipette of PESTIGON COMBO L 268 mg for large dogs (2.68 ml).
• Dogs between 40 and 60 kg: per dog, one pipette of PESTIGON COMBO XL 402 mg for very large dogs (4.02 ml).

It is important to wait 4 weeks between treatments.

Pestigon Combo for dogs - Instructions for use:

External application only.

• Hold the Pestigon Combo for dogs pipette in an upright position and twist the end to open.
• Flip the pipette back over and place the tip at the base of your dog’s neck, between the shoulder blades, fully separating the dog’s coat so that the pipette comes into full contact with the skin.
• Squeeze the pipette several times to ensure that it is fully empty. Apply the product to one location only.

Pestigon Combo for dogs is not intended for use on puppies under the age of 8 weeks or weighing less than 2 kg. Do not use on sick (systemic illnesses, fever) or recovering pets. Do not use on rabbits as the product could result in serious side effects or even death. Pestigon Combo for dogs is an anti parasitic developed specifically for dogs; do not use on cats or ferrets due to the risk of overdosage - use Pestigon Combo for cats and ferrets.

Pestigon Combo for dogs - Undesired effects:

In some cases, cutaneous reactions such as redness or itchiness in the area of application could occur. This is extremely rare. Licking the product could result in a brief period of hypersalivation due to the nature of the excipient.

Pestigon Combo for dogs - Precautions for use:

Precautions when administering the product:

• This product is an irritant: avoid all contact with your pet’s eyes. Should the product accidentally come into contact with your dog’s eyes, rinse immediately with clean water.
• Prevent your treated dog or any of your other pets from licking the area of application. Respect the area where the product was applied.
• This product can irritate mucous membranes, the skin and the eyes; try to avoid contact with these areas. Should the product accidentally come into contact with your eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If your eye irritation persists, contact a physician and provide him/her with the product monograph or packaging.
• It is not recommended that you allow the product to come into direct contact with your skin; wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after applying.
• Do not ingest the product; keep pipettes out of reach of children. Should you accidentally ingest the product, consult a physician immediately.
• Do not handle treated pets for a few hours following application, and do not allow children to play with the pet until the application area is dry. For this reason, it is recommended that the dog be treated early in the evening, and that the treated dog not be allowed to sleep with the owners, particularly not with children. Do not eat, drink or smoke while applying Pestigon Combo for dogs.
• It is possible that live fleas could appear more than 48 hours following application; this is due to new, recent reinfestations hatching in a nearby area. These newly hatched fleas will be eliminated within hours of their appearance on your pet.

Usage on pregnant or lactating pets:

• Pestigon Combo for dogs can be used if your dog is pregnant or lactating.
